Tips for Working and Thinking Like a Business Owner
Tips for Working and Thinking Like a Business Owner:
The life of an entrepreneur or business owner.
As a small business owner, you need to be aware of the seven M’s:
MISSION – you have to know exactly what your services will do for client and do more than whats expected.
MARKET – you have to know who your client is and how you can find them and you must see to bring new ones in every day.
MESSAGE – your mission has to be clear enough that your market understands who you are and what you have to offer and you must talk about it to anyone who will listen – be a marketer.
MEDIA – This is the best way to get your message out there. If you love your business tell the world using blogs, social media sites and networking every day. If you love it it will show because you will tell the world.
METHOD – You know what to do, with whom, with what, when and how to do it. You’re in control of your business. You will hold yourself accountable to goals through accurate reporting.
MANAGEMENT – this is you, operating your business in such a way that your clients are completely satisfied. An ideal small business owner knows how to market, make plans, execute, make money, solve problems, motivate, and lead employees.
MONEY – a small business owner cares about the bottom line of the business more than themselves. The work consistently to bring in revenue, cut expenses and focus on activities that increase profits so the company can grow.
Being a small business owner is risky; it is probably the most risky legal career you can choose. But, with a lot of hard work – a lot of hard work – a dash of determination, and a dollop of luck, the rewards of starting your own business are excellent (think Bill Gates).
If you put in 23% effort, you will be in the 77% of the population financially and professionally.
